Remo Stars Chairman Kunle Soname Breaks Silence on NFF Presidency Speculation
Prominent Nigerian businessman and sports investor Kunle Soname has dismissed speculation linking him with the presidency of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), stating that he has no interest in contesting for the position.
Soname, the founder of Beyond Limits Football Academy, owner of Remo Stars FC, ValueJet Airlines, Bet9ja, and several other successful businesses, said he only became aware of the rumours after reading reports in newspapers and on online blogs.
Reacting to the speculation in a chat with Abuja-based Sports broadcaster Tolu Oguntimehin, Soname distanced himself from any alleged ambition to lead Nigerian football.
“Tolu, I only read about it in newspapers and blogs, just like you. I am not interested in the NFF presidency. I don’t jostle for positions,” he said.

His latest remarks put to rest growing speculation on social media and across sections of the sports media linking the football administrator with a possible bid for the NFF presidency.
Soname is widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s leading football investors, having overseen the remarkable rise of Remo Stars FC while also investing heavily in youth development through Beyond Limits Football Academy.
Despite his huge contributions to Nigerian football, he has now made it clear that he is not seeking the country’s top football administrative position.
