Remo Stars appoint Usman Abdallah as Technical Adviser
Nigeria Premier Football League champions, Remo Stars, have announced the appointment of Usman Abd’Allah as the club’s new Technical Adviser, with the decision taking immediate effect.
The Sky Blue Stars confirmed the development in an official statement released on Thursday, as the Ikenne-based outfit moves decisively to arrest a difficult campaign that has seen them dragged into a relegation battle.
“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Usman Abd’Allah as the Technical Adviser of the club,” the statement read.
“This appointment is with immediate effect and is expected to mark a significant step in the club’s vision to elevate its performance.”
Abd’Allah arrives in Ikenne with an enviable coaching profile and vast experience across different football landscapes. He holds a UEFA Pro Licence, alongside advanced certifications in football coaching and team management from Le CREPS de Montpellier, France. His qualifications also include the National Coaching Accreditation Programme (NCAP) Level 1 from Singapore and a LaLiga Coaching Certificate.
The seasoned tactician has worked extensively across Asia and Europe, while on the domestic scene he has previously served as Technical Adviser of Enyimba FC and held roles within the Kano Pillars setup. He was also a member of the Super Eagles’ technical crew during José Peseiro’s tenure.
His most notable achievement came with Enyimba, where he guided the Aba giants to the 2018/19 NPFL title and steered them to the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup, narrowly losing to Morocco’s Raja Casablanca.
“Usman Abd’Allah combines international exposure with a deep understanding of Nigerian football, making him well-positioned to lead the Sky Blue Stars,” the club added.
