SWAN mourns demise of sister of Former Enyimba Sporting Director Jude Anyadufu
The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has expressed its heartfelt condolences to former Enyimba International Football Club Sporting Director, Sir Jude Anyadufu, following the death of his beloved sister.
In a condolence message signed by the National Secretary General of SWAN, Ikenna Okonkwo, the association conveyed the sympathy of the National Executive Committee (NEC) and its entire membership to Anyadufu and his family at the difficult moment.
SWAN described the death as a painful loss to the family, noting that the passing of a loved one comes with profound grief and an emotional void that can be difficult to overcome.
The association assured Anyadufu and his family of the solidarity, thoughts and prayers of the entire SWAN family as they mourn the deceased.
According to SWAN, Anyadufu’s longstanding contributions to Nigerian football administration and his active engagement with the sporting community have earned him close relationships with sports journalists and stakeholders across the country.
The association noted that his extensive involvement in Nigerian football has brought him into regular contact with members of the sports media, making the loss particularly poignant to the wider sporting community.
“On behalf of the National Executive Committee and the entire membership of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), we extend our deepest and heartfelt condolences to you and your entire family over the sad demise of your beloved sister,” the association stated.
SWAN urged Anyadufu and his family to draw strength from the cherished memories, values and positive impact of the deceased as they come to terms with the loss.
The association also encouraged the family to remain steadfast in faith and trust in Almighty God for the courage and fortitude to navigate the difficult period of mourning.
“We pray that Almighty God will forgive her shortcomings, grant her soul eternal rest and give the family the strength, comfort and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” SWAN said.
The association prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased and comfort for the bereaved family, while reaffirming its solidarity with Anyadufu during the period of mourning.
“Please accept the sincere condolences of the National Executive Committee and the entire membership of SWAN. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace,” the statement concluded.
Sir Jude Anyadufu is a respected figure in Nigerian football administration and has served as Sporting Director of Enyimba International Football Club, one of the country’s leading football clubs.
SWAN joins the Anyadufu family, friends, colleagues and members of the wider Nigerian sporting community in mourning the loss and praying for the peaceful repose of the deceased.
