Senegal coach Oumar Sylla backs Nigeria to qualify for Beach Soccer AFCON

Senegal beach soccer national team head coach Oumar Sylla has backed the Super Sand Eagles to defeat Ghana and secure qualification for the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations.

Sylla made the remarks after Senegal recorded two victories over Nigeria in their two-legged friendly encounters, winning both matches by an identical 6-4 scoreline.

Despite the results, the Senegalese coach was impressed by Nigeria’s quality and believes the Super Sand Eagles have the potential to perform strongly on the continent.

“I would like to say congratulations to the Nigeria beach soccer national team because you guys have a very good team,” Sylla said.

“According to what we saw here, Nigeria can have a very good performance in Africa and can easily beat Ghana and qualify for the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations.”

Sylla also praised Super Sand Eagles head coach Abdullahi Isa, expressing confidence in his ability to further improve the Nigerian side.

“I respect Nigeria coach, Abdullahi Isa, because he knows the team that he has. I know that he has all it takes to perfect the team,” he added.

“He knows what he has to do and is working hard to realise the project.”

The two friendly matches against Senegal provided Nigeria with valuable preparation ahead of their crucial Beach Soccer AFCON qualifying clash with Ghana.
