Tragedy strikes NPFL pre-season as Katsina United loses Chinedu Ozor
Nigerian football was thrown into mourning on Tuesday after Katsina United defender Ozor Chinedu reportedly collapsed and died during a pre-season fixture against Niger Tornadoes.
The former Kano Pillars defender, who recently joined Katsina United, reportedly suffered the medical emergency about 10 to 13 minutes into the match.
According to multiple reports, Ozor was immediately rushed to a hospital for urgent medical attention. However, he was reportedly pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the medical facility.
