"Africa is coming to Abuja" as 2026 AACT enters final month
With just 31 days to go before the continent’s leading women’s team golf championship tees off at the IBB International Golf & Country Club in Abuja, preparations for the 2026 All Africa Challenge Trophy (AACT) have entered the final month.
Under the theme “Africa Is Coming to Abuja,” the official countdown campaign will shine a spotlight on the championship, participating nations, players, host venue and the continued growth of women’s golf across Africa.
The 2026 AACT, scheduled for November 2–7, will bring together leading women golfers from across the continent for six days of competitive action in Nigeria’s capital.
As preparations intensify at the IBB International Golf & Country Club, attention is turning to Abuja, which will not only host the continental championship but also showcase Nigeria’s hospitality and growing reputation as a destination for major sporting events.
The countdown campaign will feature daily stories, interviews, player and country profiles, tournament facts, behind-the-scenes updates and features on the host venue as the event draws closer.
It will also highlight the contributions of the Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria (LGAN), the Local Organising Committee and other stakeholders working to deliver the continental championship.
With only 31 days remaining, excitement is building across Africa’s golfing community as Abuja prepares to welcome the continent’s leading women golfers for the 2026 AACT.
