The Association of Corporate Online Editors (ACOE) has announced that its 2025 Investiture Public Lecture & Awards will take place on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja.

Themed “Strengthening Corporate Online Media for National Development,” the event reaffirms ACOE’s commitment to promoting credible digital journalism and enhancing the role of online media in Nigeria’s democratic and socio-economic advancement.

In a statement signed by ACOE Chairman Shola Akingboye, the association said this year’s edition also marks its third anniversary, making the event a significant milestone in its growing influence within Nigeria’s media space.

Event Highlights

The 2025 Investiture Public Lecture & Awards will feature:

Public Lecture: Focused on strengthening strategic communication, improving media–government collaboration, investing in digital infrastructure, and deepening accountability-driven journalism.

Awards Ceremony: Recognising champions of good governance, excellence in humanitarian service, and contributors to national security. The event will also include posthumous awards for fallen heroes who lost their lives in the fight against insurgency and banditry since 2010.

Gala Night: Featuring the cutting of ACOE’s anniversary cake and the presentation of special recognition awards.

Attendance

The event is expected to attract over 300 participants, including media executives, government officials, legislators, diplomats, security agencies, civil society representatives, and international development partners.
