Fouzi Lekjaa Re-Elected to FIFA Council in Resounding Victory

 

Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), has been re-elected to the FIFA Council in a landslide victory, reinforcing Morocco’s growing influence in global football governance.

 

His re-election underscores international recognition of his leadership and the significant progress Morocco has made in football development under his tenure. Since assuming the FRMF presidency in 2014, Lekjaa has spearheaded transformative reforms, including major investments in infrastructure such as the world-class Mohammed VI Football Complex.

 

As a key representative of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on the FIFA Council, Lekjaa will continue to play a vital role in shaping global football policies, further solidifying Morocco’s position as a key stakeholder in the sport’s development across Africa and beyond.
