Nigeria forward Joy Omewa opened her scoring account for Swedish side BK Häcken with a goal on her first start for the club in their emphatic 6-0 victory over Norrköping on Saturday.

 Omewa needed just 19 minutes to break the deadlock, putting Häcken ahead in the Swedish women’s top-flight encounter.

 Tabby Tindell doubled the visitors’ advantage in the 25th minute as Häcken went into the break with a 2-0 lead.

 The visitors continued their dominance after the restart, with Anna Avingard making it 3-0 in the 63rd minute.

 Malva Margareta Mumbi Larsson then scored an own goal in the 72nd minute to further extend Häcken’s lead.

 Alva Selerud added a fifth before Stine Sandbech completed the rout with a late sixth goal.

 Omewa played the full 90 minutes, marking her first start for Häcken with her maiden goal for the Swedish club.

 The victory lifted BK Häcken to the top of the Swedish women’s top-flight table with 55 points from 20 matches.
