Kelechi Iheanacho continued his remarkable scoring run, finding the net for the 11th consecutive game as Bursaspor defeated Pendikspor 2-0 at the Atatürk Spor Kompleksi on Monday night.

Halil Akbunar opened the scoring in the 10th minute, capping Bursaspor’s bright start and giving the Green Crocodiles an early advantage.

Iheanacho then doubled the lead two minutes after the hour mark to secure all three points for Mustafa Er’s side. The Nigeria international connected with a cross from Lincoln inside the penalty area and powered an unmarked header into the net.

The goal took Iheanacho’s tally to 15 goals and three assists in 10 league appearances for Bursaspor this season, highlighting his importance to the club’s impressive campaign.

The Super Eagles forward’s consistency in front of goal has helped Bursaspor maintain their push for the top of the league standings.

Monday’s victory lifted Bursaspor to second place with 25 points, just one point behind league leaders Kayserispor.

Bursaspor will aim to extend their winning momentum when they face Keçiörengücü in their next league fixture on Sunday.
