Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has accepted a ₦10 million celebrity boxing challenge proposed by show promoter Paulo Okoye, introducing fresh conditions ahead of a potential showdown with Iyabo Ojo.

Anjorin confirmed her decision in a post shared on Instagram on Sunday.

“As at today, 3rd May 2026, I accept your challenge,” she wrote.

Despite accepting the offer, Anjorin laid out a new condition that could significantly alter the planned bout.

“You (Paulo) and Chief Lawal will fight 10 rounds non-stop in the ring. Then the next day, it will be me and Iyabo Ojo in the ring,” she stated.

The condition introduces a preliminary fight involving her husband, Chief Lawal, before the main celebrity clash.

Rivalry Escalates

Anjorin also intensified the long-running feud with personal remarks directed at both Okoye and Ojo, challenging them to publicly present proof of their assets and achievements.

The dispute between Anjorin and Ojo has spanned years, playing out across social media, in courtrooms, and through public exchanges.

Legal Battles and Past Clashes

In 2024, Paulo Okoye initially proposed the celebrity boxing match, offering a ₦10 million prize to the winner.

Tensions escalated further in 2025 when Iyabo Ojo filed a ₦1 billion defamation suit against Anjorin. The case was later struck out on procedural grounds, although Ojo indicated plans to pursue further legal action.

The feud has also featured petitions to law enforcement and continued exchanges online.

Celebrity Boxing Trend Grows

Anjorin’s acceptance comes amid rising interest in celebrity boxing matches within Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

Recently, street-pop artiste Portable lost a high-profile bout to comedian Carter Efe at a celebrity fight event in Lagos, further boosting public attention around such contests.

With Anjorin now officially on board, albeit with conditions, the spotlight shifts to whether all parties will agree to the revised terms and bring the highly anticipated bout to reality.
