Macleans Chinonyerem: Nigeria forward seals move to Georgia's Nike Lusso WFC
Nigerian international forward Chinoyerem Macleans has completed a move to Georgian women’s club Nike Lusso WFC, marking a new chapter in her professional career.
The striker joins the Georgian side after departing Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Shabab FC Women, where she previously showcased her attacking abilities and goal scoring instincts.
Macleans, known for her pace, strength, and finishing ability in the final third, has steadily built a reputation as one of the promising Nigerian forwards playing abroad.
Her transfer to Nike Lusso WFC is expected to strengthen the club’s attacking options as they aim to compete strongly in the Georgian women’s league.
The move also reflects the growing presence of Nigerian female footballers in leagues across Europe and Asia, with many players continuing to export their talents beyond the shores of Nigeria.
For Macleans, the switch to Georgia presents an opportunity to gain more European exposure while contributing to the ambitions of her new club. Her experience at
Al-Shabab and international exposure with Nigeria are expected to play a key role as she settles into the team.
The Nigerian forward will now look to quickly adapt to her new environment and help Nike Lusso WFC achieve their targets in the upcoming season.
