NFF to host FIFA-capacity building programme for women's football administrators
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), in partnership with FIFA, will stage a three-day capacity-building programme aimed at strengthening the skills and leadership of women football administrators across the country.
The workshop is scheduled to take place in Abuja from July 17 to 19 and forms part of FIFA's commitment to developing women's football through improved administration and governance.
Six facilitators will lead the sessions, with FIFA providing two experienced women's football technical experts, Thubaelihle Sibanda and Setlhoko Tsholofelo Candy.
The NFF has also assembled a strong team of local resource persons, including Aisha Falode, a member of the NFF Executive Committee, FIFA Media Committee member and FIFA/CAF Match Commissioner; Professor Mariam Suleiman of Ahmadu Bello University; Dr. Anthonia Chinyere Uwa, a retired chief lecturer at Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe; and Mohammed Ameenu, a former National League referee, FIFA-trained technical instructor, FIFA-certified safeguarding officer, and Special Assistant to the NFF General Secretary.
The programme is expected to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to enhance the administration and continued growth of women's football in Nigeria.
