The Enugu State Government has announced the composition of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the 23rd National Sports Festival, scheduled to be held in Enugu in 2026.

Governor Peter Mbah, while unveiling the committee, emphasized that its members were carefully selected based on their competence, excellence, and contributions to the sports sector.

The committee will be chaired by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Lloyd Ike Ekweremadu Jr.

The LOC comprises seasoned sports administrators, including Bamiduro Olumide, Mary Onyali, Aku Akazu, Victor Okorie, Blessing Chisalam Ekwe, Davidson Owumi, Tony Ugwu, Henry Chinedu Okorie, Jonathan Nnaji, Boniface Onovo, Ephraim Ochonma, and Obiora Obasi.

Governor Mbah expressed confidence in the committee's ability to deliver an outstanding festival, leveraging their individual and collective expertise.

In his remarks, the LOC Chairman and Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Lloyd Ike Ekweremadu Jr., reaffirmed Enugu State's commitment to hosting a world-class sporting event that meets international standards.
