Former Manchester United forward Shola Shoretire was on target as PAOK Thessaloniki secured a 3-1 victory over Panetolikos in the Greek Super League on Sunday.

Shoretire was introduced from the bench and made an immediate impact, scoring PAOK’s third goal to help the visitors seal all three points.

The Nigerian-born attacker finished off a move after receiving a layoff from Ognjen Ožegović before firing the ball into the net to put the result beyond doubt.

The goal capped an effective cameo for Shoretire, who provided an additional attacking threat after coming on in the second half.

PAOK’s victory strengthened their position in the early stages of the Greek top-flight campaign, while Shoretire will hope his latest contribution earns him further opportunities in the starting lineup.

The former Manchester United academy graduate continues to seek regular first-team football after making the move away from Old Trafford.
