WAFU-B Women's Champions League: Edo Queens to miss three players for final resumption

Nigeria’s Edo Queens will be without three key players when they resume their decisive WAFU-B Women’s Champions League final against Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa.

Kemi Adegbuyi, Oluebube Umejiaku and Esther Inyang will miss the encounter as they are currently representing Nigeria’s Flamingos at the ongoing FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.

Ampem Darkoa will also be without Gloria, who is in Morocco with her national team.

The final is set to resume from extra time following a protest by Ampem Darkoa over the referee’s decision to abandon the extra-time procedure and proceed directly to a penalty shootout, which Edo Queens won.

The resumption is expected to determine the outcome of the highly contested final, with both sides facing personnel challenges ahead of the decisive encounter.
