Ajibade, PSG book UEFA Women's Champions League league phase ticket
Rasheedat Ajibade and Paris Saint-Germain have secured their places in the 2026/27 UEFA Women’s Champions League league phase after successfully navigating the final qualifying round.
The Nigerian captain featured as PSG sealed their passage into the newly restructured competition, joining 18 clubs that will battle for continental supremacy in the first league phase under the new format.
The qualifying process was concluded on Wednesday, September 2.
Unlike previous editions, the competition will no longer have traditional group stages. Instead, the 18 qualified teams will compete in a single league table, with each club playing six matches against different opponents in a more demanding route towards the knockout rounds.
PSG have been placed in Pot 1 alongside Barcelona, OL Lyonnes, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Arsenal, while Pot 2 comprises Real Madrid, Juventus, Häcken, Roma, Benfica and Paris FC.
Manchester City, OH Leuven, HB Køge, Austria Wien, Inter and Servette make up Pot 3. The league-phase draw is scheduled for Friday, September 4, at 12:00 CET.
For Ajibade, PSG’s qualification adds another significant chapter to her growing European pedigree and further underlines her importance at the highest level of women’s football.
The Nigerian star and her Parisian teammates will now turn their attention to the league phase, where every point could prove decisive in their quest to progress deep into the competition and challenge for European glory.
