Comoros name 22-player squad for Olympic Qualifier against Super Falcons
Comoros have unveiled a 22-player squad for their crucial two-legged 2028 Olympic Games qualifying tie against Nigeria’s senior women's national team.
The squad, announced on Wednesday, consists of three goalkeepers, five defenders, seven midfielders and seven forwards as Comoros prepare to face the 10-time African champions.
The island nation will take on Nigeria in a two-leg encounter, with both matches scheduled to be played at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State, where the Super Falcons will have home advantage.
The ties are expected to provide a stern test for both sides as they battle for a place in the next phase of the Olympic qualification process.
Nigeria will be aiming to capitalise on playing both legs at home and secure a favourable aggregate result against their Comoros counterparts.
The Super Falcons have continued preparations for the qualification campaign as they pursue a place at the 2028 Olympic Games and seek to maintain their status among Africa’s leading women’s football teams.
