Nigeria’s women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, have unveiled their final roster for the 29th edition of the FIBA Women’s Afrobasket championship, Savidnews reports 

The 12-woman squad features a mix of experience and talent: Promise Amukamara, Ezinne Kalu, Elizabeth Balogun, Amy Okonkwo, Nicole Enabosi, Pallas Kunayi, Victoria Macaulay, Vera Ojenuwa, Blessing Ejiofor, Ifunaya Okoro, Sarah Ogoke, and Murjanatu Musa.

The 2025 Afrobasket will see Nigeria battle for a fifth title as they'll face Mozambique and Rwanda in group D. Nigeria enters the tournament as the defending champions, having defeated Senegal 84–74 in the 2023 final held in Kigali, Rwanda.

D’Tigress has dominated the competition in recent years,beating Senegal in the 2017 and 2019 finals and overcoming Mali to clinch the 2021 title. Their remarkable run has solidified Nigeria’s status as a powerhouse in African women’s basketball.
