Record championship winners Al Ahly of Egypt have become the first team to arrive in Abuja ahead of the African Women's African Volleyball Club Championship, set to serve off on April 1.

The Egyptian powerhouse, known for their dominance in African volleyball, touched down in the Nigerian capital as preparations intensify for the continental showpiece.

With multiple titles to their name, Al Ahly will be aiming to extend their legacy in the competition, which will feature top clubs from across Africa.

The championship, which runs from April 1 to 14, is hosted by Nigeria and sponsored solely by the Nigeria Customs Service.

The Nigerian representatives, including the Nigeria Customs women's volleyball team, are gearing up to make a strong impression on home soil.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for April 3, while the final will take place on April 13. More teams are expected to arrive in the coming days as the tournament builds momentum.
