FC Robo Queens stay perfect after NWFL Premiership Matchday three

Matchday 3 of the 2025/26 Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) delivered another exciting round of action on Wednesday, headlined by Robo Queens’ unbeaten charge, strong showings from Edo Queens and Rivers Angels, and key victories across multiple centres.

Robo Queens remain the team to beat after extending their perfect start with a 2–0 win over Delta Queens at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.

Second-half goals from Rodiat Yusuf (50′) and Tosin Rafiu (58′) kept their defensive record spotless, making them one of only two sides yet to concede this season.

In Ado-Ekiti, Edo Queens edged past Ekiti Queens 1–0, thanks to Atume Doosuur’s 67th-minute strike, her second goal for the Benin City outfit.

Rivers Angels also claimed a valuable away win, defeating Pacesetters Queens 2–1 at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.

Grace Saliu opened the scoring inside two minutes before Teslimot Balogun levelled for Pacesetters in the 28th minute. But Ramotalahi Kareem (40′) restored the Jewel of Rivers’ lead before halftime, ultimately securing the points.

In Umuahia, Nasarawa Amazons impressed with a 2–0 victory over Ahudiyannem Queens. Goals from Ohunene Sunday (47′) and Peaceful Ikediuba (74′) earned the visitors their second win of the campaign.

Remo Stars Ladies continued their excellent form with a 2–0 away triumph over Confluence Queens in Iyamho. An early strike from Anifowoshe Khadijat (12′) and a late finish from Similoluwa Okesiji (90′) kept them neck-and-neck with Robo Queens as the only teams yet to concede this season.

In Aba, Abia Angels cruised to a 2–0 win over Osun Babes, powered by first-half goals from Winner David (16′) and Blessing Okon (28′).

Up north in Numa, Adamawa Queens edged Ibom Angels 1–0, with Ifeoma Damian (16′) providing the decisive early breakthrough.

Matchday 3 continues on Thursday, with Sunshine Queens hosting Dannaz Ladies at 3:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, the clash between Naija Ratels and Bayelsa Queens, initially slated for Wednesday, will now hold Thursday at 8:00 a.m. at the Bwari Stadium due to administrative adjustments.
