NSSF to launch National Integrated Shooting Sport Platform in Abuja

The Nigeria Shooting Sport Federation (NSSF) has announced the official launch and unveiling of the National Integrated Shooting Sport Platform (NISSP), a major digital initiative aimed at transforming and repositioning shooting sport in Nigeria.

The landmark event, themed “One Federation. One Platform. Built for Trust,” will bring together members of the general public, military and para-military organisations, affiliated organisations, sports journalists, and media organisations.

The launch is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. at 1212 Polo Resort, Ahmadu Bello Way, Gwarimpa, Abuja, Nigeria.

The Chief Host is Major General UM Alkali, Commandant, Army War College Nigeria, while the Host is Commodore MS Shettima, President of the Nigeria Shooting Sport Federation.

According to the Federation, the NISSP represents a significant step in its digital transformation efforts, with the platform designed to enhance transparency and provide real-time access to information on athletes, competitions, rankings, membership and the Federation’s global affiliations.

The event, which coincides with the National War College Shooting Competition, will feature a live demonstration of the NISSP portal, as well as an interactive session with Federation officials and national athletes.

Members of the public and invited stakeholders who are unable to attend physically will also have the opportunity to participate virtually through the Federation’s dedicated Zoom link.

The NSSF said the participation and support of stakeholders, particularly the media, will be highly valued as the Federation opens what it describes as a new chapter for shooting sport in Nigeria.
