Nigeria drawn in Group A for maiden FIFA U-15 World Cup & Festival
Nigeria have been drawn in Group A for the inaugural FIFA U-15 World Cup & Festival 2026, scheduled to take place in Azerbaijan from October 24 to 30.
The young Super Eagles will face Cyprus, Gambia, Jordan, Pakistan and South Sudan in the group stage of the new youth competition.
The tournament will feature an innovative eight-a-side format, bringing together youth teams from around the world for a week-long celebration of football.
Six matchdays are scheduled during the festival, with approximately 950 matches expected to be played and around 3,000 participants involved.
Unlike the traditional FIFA World Cup format, all participating teams will remain active throughout the event. Their results will determine their placement in different competitive tiers as the festival progresses.
For Nigeria’s U-15 players, the tournament will provide an opportunity to gain international experience, face opponents from different football cultures and showcase their talents on a global stage.
The inaugural FIFA U-15 World Cup & Festival will run from October 24 to 30, 2026, in Azerbaijan.
