NPFL clubs receive first tranche of Euromatch sponsorship deal

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clubs have received their share of the first tranche of the league’s title sponsorship agreement with Euromatch.

NPFL Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Ayo Hammed Abdulrahman, confirmed that the three-year sponsorship agreement is worth $7.5 million.

According to Abdulrahman, the deal is valued at $2.5 million annually, correcting earlier reports that had put the annual value of the agreement at $1 million.

He also confirmed that participating NPFL clubs have received their agreed percentage from the first funds released under the sponsorship arrangement.

The three-year partnership, which runs at $2.5 million per year, brings the total value of the sponsorship deal to $7.5 million.

The first tranche is expected to provide additional financial support to the participating clubs as they continue their campaigns in the Nigerian top-flight league.

The sponsorship agreement represents a significant commercial partnership for the NPFL, with the league and its clubs set to benefit from the financial arrangement throughout the three-year period.
