Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade releases first statement after horrific Comoros injury

Nigeria captain Rasheedat Ajibade has reassured fans that she is doing well following her injury setback during Nigeria’s encounter against Comoros, as she returns to Paris to continue her medical treatment.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward expressed gratitude to family, friends and supporters for their calls, messages and prayers, admitting that she could not respond to everyone immediately.

In a heartfelt message, Ajibade said she remained positive about her recovery and was determined to return stronger.

“I’m fine and doing well. I’ll be back stronger, for good and for God’s greater glory,” she wrote.

The Nigerian international also acknowledged the love and encouragement she had received, assuring supporters that she had seen their messages despite being unable to reply individually.

“Thank you so much for all your calls and messages. I’m sorry I can’t reply to everyone right now, but once I settle in, I’ll get back to each of you,” Ajibade added.

Her message concluded with another expression of appreciation to those who had wished her well.

“I see all your messages, your love and your kind wishes. Thank you, thank you, thank you! God bless you all,” she said.

Ajibade’s return to Paris will allow her to continue medical treatment as she works towards recovery. Her progress will be closely followed by the Super Falcons and PSG, with fans hoping to see the influential forward return to action when fully fit.

The 26-year-old remains an important figure for Nigeria, having captained the Super Falcons and played a key role in the team’s recent campaigns.
