Nigerian football fans will be able to watch the Flamingos’ historic FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup final against Japan live on television after FIFA gave the nod to Nigerian broadcasters M4S and the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) to beam the decisive encounter.

The development comes as a major relief to supporters who have struggled to follow the team’s remarkable campaign in Morocco, with many relying on online streaming platforms and links to catch the action.

The final, scheduled for Saturday, November 7, at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Rabat, will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Nigerian time, giving millions of Nigerians an opportunity to follow the country’s young football stars as they pursue a historic first title.

The broadcast arrangement means the much-anticipated encounter will be accessible to viewers through Nigerian television stations, extending the excitement beyond digital platforms and bringing the occasion directly into homes across the country.

For supporters who have followed the Flamingos’ journey through limited streaming access, the development is particularly significant. The team has captured national attention with a campaign that has taken Nigerian women’s football into uncharted territory.

Nigeria became the first African country to reach the final of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup following an impressive 3–1 semi-final victory over Brazil. The Flamingos will now face Japan, four-time finalists and 2014 champions, with the opportunity to make another landmark entry in the history of African football.

M4S has also provided an online viewing option for supporters who wish to follow the match digitally, further widening access to the historic occasion.

The development is expected to boost the atmosphere around Saturday’s final, as Nigerians at home and abroad rally behind the young players seeking to bring the trophy home.

After weeks of following the Flamingos’ progress from a distance, supporters can now look forward to watching the girls of history on their television screens as they take on Japan for the ultimate prize.
