Fouzi Lekjaa Re-Elected as Royal Moroccan Football Federation President for Fourth Term
Fouzi Lekjaa has been re-elected as President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) for a fourth term in office, further consolidating his growing influence in African and global football administration.
Lekjaa, who first assumed leadership of the Moroccan football federation in 2014, has overseen a significant transformation in the country’s football structure and international profile during his tenure.
The Moroccan football administrator has also strengthened his standing within global football governance in recent years through a series of high-profile appointments and electoral victories.
In March 2025, Lekjaa secured re-election to the FIFA Council as a representative of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), after polling an overwhelming 49 out of 52 votes. The result extended his mandate on the FIFA Council until 2029.
His influence within African football further expanded in April 2025 when he was appointed First Vice-President of CAF, reinforcing his strategic role in shaping football administration across the continent.
Lekjaa also retained his seat on the Executive Council of the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA) following his re-election in September 2025.
