Governor Oyebanji visits released Eda Oniyo kidnapped victims

 

 

Governor Biodun Oyebanji on Sunday visited the victims of the Eda Oniyo kidnapping who are currently receiving medical care at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), Ado Ekiti, following their release from captivity.

 

The Governor had earlier directed that the victims be taken to the teaching hospital for comprehensive medical screening and treatment, while also approving the payment of all their medical expenses.

 

During his visit, Governor Oyebanji met individually with the victims, offering words of comfort and reassurance. He reiterated his administration's unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents, stressing that his government would continue to deploy every lawful means to eliminate criminal activities and those responsible for them in the state.

 

The Governor also expressed appreciation to the leaders of the Eda Oniyo community and other stakeholders for their resilience, prayers, support, and valuable contributions, which played a significant role in securing the victims' safe release.

 

Governor Oyebanji's visit reflects his people-centred leadership style and commitment to the welfare of Ekiti residents. Beyond implementing policies, he continues to stand with citizens during challenging moments, demonstrating compassion and responsive governance.
