Super Eagles midfielder rejects Premier League Interest, Set to Stay in France

Nigeria midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi is expected to remain at Olympique de Marseille this summer despite attracting transfer interest from two English clubs, according to reports from French outlet La Minute OM.

The Nigerian international joined the Ligue 1 giants during the January transfer window but initially endured a difficult start to life at the Orange Vélodrome, struggling to adapt to his new surroundings and break into the first team.

Limited playing time in his early months at Marseille fueled speculation over his future, with reports suggesting the 21-year-old could seek a move elsewhere in search of regular football.

However, Nnadi's fortunes changed dramatically towards the end of the season.

Injuries to several first-team players handed the Super Eagles midfielder an opportunity, and he responded with a string of impressive performances that won over supporters and strengthened his standing within the squad.

His resurgence has inevitably attracted transfer interest, with two English clubs reportedly making offers to sign the highly-rated midfielder ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Despite the interest from England, Nnadi is said to have no intention of leaving Marseille at this stage of his career. The former Nigerian youth international has settled well in France and remains fully committed to continuing his development in Ligue 1.

The midfielder is determined to build on his strong finish to last season and establish himself as a regular starter under new Marseille manager Habib Beye.

With pre-season preparations around the corner, Nnadi's immediate focus will be on impressing the coaching staff and cementing his place in the starting XI as he looks to become a key figure for Marseille during the 2026/27 campaign.

His decision to stay is seen as a vote of confidence in the club's long-term project, with the Nigerian believing regular development in Ligue 1 offers the ideal platform to further his career and strengthen his place in the Super Eagles setup.
