The send off ceremony, scheduled to take place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, is expected to inspire the Nigerian contingent as they prepare to leave for the United Kingdom.
President Tinubu will charge the athletes and officials to compete with courage, discipline and the resilient spirit that has become synonymous with Nigeria on the global sporting stage.
Following the ceremony, Team Nigeria will depart the country on Friday for Aberdeen, Scotland, where the athletes will undergo a three-week intensive training camp before moving to Glasgow for the Games.
Nigeria will compete in 10 sports with a 74-member athlete contingent, aiming to surpass its impressive performance at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, where the nation finished as Africa's highest ranked team with 35 medals 12 gold, nine silver and 14 bronze.
The athletes have been in a closed camping programme in Abuja, fine-tuning their preparations for the multi sport event, which will run from July 23 to August 2.
The President's farewell is expected to provide an additional morale boost as Team Nigeria targets another memorable outing on the Commonwealth stage.
President Tinubu has consistently reiterated his administration's commitment to supporting Nigerian athletes and expressed confidence in their ability to make the country proud through outstanding performances at major international competitions.
