Lagos State Football Association seals 100 million Naira Cloud Sports deal
The Cloud Sports Limited has secured exclusive broadcast and production rights to the Lagos FA Cup following a landmark agreement worth ₦100 million, a move expected to redefine grassroots football visibility and commercial growth in Lagos.
In an official statement released on Friday and signed by LSFA Chairman, Gafar Liameed, the three-year partnership was described as a strategic leap toward professionalising the prestigious Lagos FA Cup and positioning it as a premium football product within Nigeria’s domestic football ecosystem.
According to the LSFA, the agreement adopts a hybrid structure combining direct financial investment and developmental support. As part of the package, Cloud Sports Limited will supply 300 footballs to assist 79 affiliated clubs, while also organising a one day professional training programme for the Media Officers of all participating teams in the 2025/2026 competition.
The initiative is designed not only to improve match coverage and storytelling but also to enhance operational standards among clubs, ensuring that grassroots football aligns more closely with modern media and production expectations.
“On behalf of the Lagos State Football Association, I sincerely appreciate Cloud Sports for their confidence, investment, and shared vision for the growth of football in Lagos. Together, we are setting a new benchmark for grassroots football broadcasting and content production in Nigeria.”
The partnership signals a major commercial breakthrough for grassroots football in Lagos, with stakeholders optimistic that improved broadcast quality and media exposure will attract sponsors, boost player development, and elevate the overall status of the historic competition.
