Bukola Olopade arrives Team Nigeria's Aberdeen training camp ahead of Commonwealth Games
The Chef de Mission of Team Nigeria to the 2026 Commonwealth Games, Hon. Bukola Olopade, has arrived at the team's pre-Games training camp in Aberdeen, Scotland, as preparations intensify for the multi-sport event.
Olopade was warmly received by athletes, coaches, and team officials ahead of the final phase of Nigeria's build-up to the Games.
Speaking during his visit, he emphasized the importance of thorough preparation, saying: “Preparation is everything. Our athletes deserve the very best environment to train, recover, and compete.”
Team Nigeria will spend the next three weeks in Aberdeen, fine-tuning its preparations before departing for the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, scheduled to take place from July 23 to August 2, 2026.
